Loving Limbo?

So...I'm in this situation where I have to wait on God to see what is next for my life.

I should be happy.
I should be joyfully waiting to see all that God has for me.

And here I sit, fluctuating between irritated and "blah". I'm such a planner. I like to know the forecast for my life. I know it's unrealistic, but it's the way I work.

So, here I sit wondering where my first ordination will take place. At least I have the song picked out for the day I take my vows before the church. (Chasing After You - by Ty Tribbett)

I pray that as I am learning to love limbo that I can stay focused and energized as I serve the church.

Lord ~ you better help a sister out and give me what I need to make it through this process!!!

I will forever remember the weekend of March 15, 2020. It will be marked as the weekend that many churches had to pivot or close their doors due to the pandemic. Vacation Eesh 2019 #thereset

(Take a deep breath. Close your eyes. Hit that reset button.)  I am finally taking a full week's vacation from this wonderful life we call ministry. If you are like me, you know the feeling of trying to get "everything" done before leaving town. I feel like I deserve a medal or at least a gold star from heaven! With some out-of-state down time with my son and the folks I love, I am realizing that I can use this vacation for what I like to call "The Reset."  The Reset is the space I allow to evaluate the past three to six months and ask myself "Aisha, is this how you want to end your year at this rate, this pace, and with the current priorities you have set for yourself?"  For me, the reset is a wake-up call to say, "Hold up, wait a minute...I am may NOT be living my life the way I have desired.
